5th edition – 2022

In 2022, the Lachine International Vocal Academy will take place between June 20th and July 6th. Twenty young singers and 4 collaborative pianists with work intensively on various essential aspects of their musical career, in a non-competitive and constructive atmosphere. Under the supervision of the artistic director of Concerts Lachine, Richard Turp, these 24 young musicians will work intensively on various aspects essential to their profession, with seven music teachers of international renown, including:

  • Lena Hellström-Färnlöf (Sweden)
  • François Le Roux (France)
  • Wolfgang Holzmair (Austria)
  • Liz Upchurch (GB/Canada)
  • Marie-Ève Scarfone (Canada)
  • Olivier Godin (Canada)

Featured activities and workshops include:

    • Voice coaching sessions
    • Lyric diction lessons
    • Performance practice expertise ;
    • Interpretation coaching
    • Master classes, some of which are open to the public
    • Group workshops on a variety of topics including career orientation, development and management

The music teachers and selected participants come from all around the world, from countries including:  

  • Canada; 
  • The United States;
  • France; 
  • Sweden; 
  • Austria; 
  • United Kingdom.
