Biographies

Danny Leclerc

Lyrico-dramatic tenor Danny Leclerc is distinguished by an expressive timbre, brilliant agility in the upper register, and a controlled vocal power. His natural stage presence and refined dramatic instinct bring authentic intensity to each of his performances.

A finalist at the CS Music Competition and grand finalist at the 2024 Great Tenor Tournament in Poland, he excels in the French and Italian repertoires as well as in major sacred works. His interpretation of Verdi’s Requiem has been praised by international audiences.

He was recently acclaimed at Opera na Zamku in Poland and at the Opéra Comique of Washington, notably for his portrayals of Fritz (La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein) and Gontran (Les Mousquetaires au Couvent).

This season, Danny is preparing the roles of Don José (Carmen) and Daniel (Le Chalet), along with several international gala appearances. This summer, he will perform Hoffmann (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and Florestan (Fidelio).

Yves Garand

Yves Garand began his musical studies at an early age, first in private piano lessons, then at Collège Marguerite-Bourgeois, the Faculty of Music at the Université de Montréal, and the Conservatoire de musique du Québec in Montreal.

He later received a scholarship from the Government of Quebec, allowing him to pursue advanced training in Paris. A versatile and highly regarded artist, he showcases his talents as a pedagogue, pianist, and collaborative organist, working alongside several of Quebec’s leading lyric and choral artists.

He is the titular organist of the Casavant symphonic organ at Saints-Anges Church in Lachine, Chorus Master for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Artistic Director of the Chœur Ambiance de Lachine, and Program Director for Saints-Anges en musique, presented by Concerts Lachine.
