Biography
Feras Rada
Classical guitarist Feras Rada is a Syrian performer, teacher, and composer who moved to Quebec in 2021. For over a decade, Feras has made music his life, beginning his musical journey at the Syrian Conservatory, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree (classical guitar) in 2007. In a continuing quest for excellence, he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music (Performance of orchestral instruments and guitar) at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music under the tutelage of Professor Patrick James Kearney. It is a challenging path, but he is determined to push boundaries and dive deeper into his musical soul.
His musical interests encompass both Eastern and Western music, connecting him with diverse audiences worldwide. While he has a passion for teaching and sharing his musical insights, what truly sets his heart on fire is the stage. There, his guitar comes alive, transporting audiences on musical journeys through his solo, duet, and ensemble concerts.
For Feras, music is not merely a pursuit—it is an integral part of his identity. His unswerving commitment to sharing the profound beauty of this art form and his tireless quest for musical excellence is a testament to his deep faith in the transformative power of the guitar.
