Following the remarkable success of the 2020 virtual edition of the Academy, Concerts Lachine is proud to offer a hybrid of the Academy in 2021.
The Academy allows twenty young singers and five collaborative pianists to work in an intensive manner in a made to order program at various essential aspects of their craft. This also allows them to develop a personal and professional network of resource people as well as identifying the next stages of their development and the means to attain them.
The Academy proposes this holistic and made to measure program for each individual free of charge to all selected participants in a non-competitive setting and constructive ambiance. A team of seven world-renowned teachers offers;
- vocal technique classes
- lyric diction classe
- performance practice
- vocal interpretation coachings
- group workshops on a variety of essential topics such as professional career orientation and development
The group of teachers have worked together for a number of years and their common teaching beliefs and their united educational philosophy represents one of the strengths of the program.
The Academy also benefits from a series of important partnerships and collaborations most notably with l’Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal.
