BIOGRAPHY

Jean Nouvel-Alaux

Organist and choir conductor, Jean Nouvel-Alaux is the titular organist of the historic Cavaillé-Coll organ at the Notre-Dame de la Gare church (Paris 13e), as well as the chapel master and choir conductor for the same parish. In 2022, he received his organ performance prize unanimously and with distinction in the class of Christophe Mantoux at the Pôle Supérieur de Paris Boulogne-Billancourt, as well as his Bachelor’s degree in Musicology from the Sorbonne University.

In September 2023, he won the third prize and the audience prize at the 13th Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition. In 2024, he obtained his State Diploma as an organ teacher and has been teaching since 2024 at the Chatou Conservatory. As a soloist, Jean Nouvel-Alaux has performed in Australia (Melbourne), the USA (NYC, Millbrook), and France.

For the 2024-2025 season, he will perform for the first time in Russia for two concert tours in prestigious venues such as the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia and the Catholic and Lutheran Cathedrals of Moscow, as well as in Canada (Montreal).
