BIOGRAPHY

NOÉMIE RAYMOND-FISET cello

Destined to “leave her mark on posterity through her immense sensitivity and immeasurable talent” (Journal des Citoyens), cellist Noémie Raymond-Friset is pursuing an exciting, multi-faceted international career – including performances as a chamber musician and soloist with leading orchestras. From London’s Royal Albert Hall to the Festival Internacional de Musica de Camara in Lima, her “passionate, intensely sensitive and refined” playing has taken her to four continents, including performances with violinists Midori Goto and Pinchas Zukerman. Recognized as one of the “30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians under 30” by CBC, Noémie is also an accomplished and experienced educator. With a doctorate in performance and literature from the prestigious Eastman School of Music, she mentors cello and chamber music in the junior program at the Heifetz International Music Institute and teaches at the Festival del Lago in Mexico. She also held the position of Director of Operations, Development and Communications at the Montreal Chamber Music Festival from November 2022 to November 2023. Her exceptional musicianship has been officially recognized on many occasions, winning prizes at national and international competitions and receiving prestigious scholarships. She is a laureate of the Canada Council for the Arts Musical Instrument Bank competition. Noémie plays the magnificent Matteo Goffriller “Ex-Curtis” cello (1700)

CHLOÉ DUMOULIN piano

Pianist Chloé Dumoulin made her debut in 2021 at the Maison symphonique de Montréal, under the direction of Jacques Lacombe – and appeared as soloist with the Orchestre Orchestre Métropolitain in 2016. Active on the provincial, national, and international scenes, Chloé has performed in Canada, the United States, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, and the United Kingdom, and will soon be touring China. Winner of the Third Grand Prize at the Prix d’Europe Competition and the Hélène Lessard Special Prize, Chloé was also awarded the Canimex Grand Prize at the Festival-Concours de Sherbrooke in 2021, First Prize at the Canadian Music Competition and Second Grand Prize at the CFMTA’s National Piano Competition. Recently awarded a prize from the Sylva Gelber Foundation, she is also supported by the Fondation du Conservatoire, the Fondation Desjardins, the Jeunesses Musicales of Canada AIDA Fund, the London Goodenough Association of Canada, and the Worshipful Glass Sellers Company. She was selected to take part in the prestigious Maria Canals International Competition in Barcelona. Chloé trained at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where in 2023, she completed a double master’s degree – in piano with André Laplante and in accompaniment with Claire Ouellet. At the same institution in 2022, she also won a chamber music prize, obtained with distinction. During her training, she has performed in many masterclasses, most notably with Louis Lortie, Richard Goode, Gabriela Montero, Robert Levin, Dame Imogen Cooper, Éric Le Sage, Ilya Poletaev, Anton Nel, Angela Cheng, and Daniel Shapiro. Since September 2023, Chloé has been studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London (UK), where she is the recipient of the Leverhulme Arts Scholar full scholarship to complete an Artist Diploma, under the tutelage of Ronan O’Hora.
