This concert brings together two talents from the Lachine International Vocal Academy: mezzo-soprano Justine Ledoux and pianist Tony Stauffer. Together, they will offer a performance that reflects the excellence and artistic impact of the Lachine International Vocal Academy.
Each summer, the Academy welcomes 18 young singers and 5 collaborative pianists who work intensively with seven internationally renowned professors, including pedagogues from Canada, France, Austria, and Sweden. Through individual and group lessons, as well as workshops, these young artists — from institutions such as the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, McGill University’s Schulich School of Music, and the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal — deepen their mastery of the various aspects of the careers of opera singers and collaborative pianists.
