BIOGRAPHY
Marie-Hélène Greffard, a pianist and organist from Montmagny, holds two prizes with great distinction from the Conservatoire: one in chamber music (2005) and one in piano (2006). She began studying the organ in 2002, first with Noëlla Genest, then with Danny Bélisle and Richard Paré, with whom she completed a master’s degree in performance on the instrument in 2009. Upon completing her degree at Université Laval, Marie-Hélène was awarded the Governor General’s Medal for Academic Excellence.
The recipient of numerous awards in various competitions, she was notably the grand prize winner of the 2011 Quebec Organ Competition. An active concert performer throughout Quebec, she also completed an organ concert tour in France during the summer of 2014, and toured France and Belgium in the summer of 2015 as a piano accompanist with Les Petits Chanteurs de Charlesbourg.
Her versatility as a musician makes her a highly sought-after performer. Among her regular musical engagements are: piano accompanist for opera evenings at La Scala restaurant, accompanist for the Troupe Hallélou and the Université Laval Choir, organist with Duo Éole (trumpet and organ), freelance musician for a variety of events, as well as a piano and organ teacher and solo concert performer.
